Bio
I am Sharmeen Fatima, a second-year undergraduate majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and I am originally from Turlock, California. I value community, cultural connectivity, and maintaining a strong bond with my roots.

Throughout my undergraduate journey, I have been involved in giving back to the community. I enjoy volunteering at a local library and I served as a peer mentor, where I  supported mentees in navigating their transition to UC Davis and found fulfillment in helping others feel supported and grounded during times of change. I am also involved in the student-run clinic BPSHI, where I continue to engage in healthcare-centered community work supporting underserved populations.
I am passionate about helping others reconnect with their cultural roots and rediscover a sense of belonging, especially within spaces that prioritize care, inclusivity, and shared identity. In my free time, I enjoy painting, working out, cooking and baking, and meeting new people.

Looking ahead, I anticipate pursuing a career in the healthcare field, where I hope to combine my scientific background with my dedication to service, community well-being, and culturally responsive care.
