Position Title
Intern
Clay (they/them) is a Filipinx immigrant, third-year transfer undergraduate English Major from Sierra College. They worked there as a Student Engagement Center Peer Leader and founded Filipinx Fest; an event focused on the Philippines history and culture through a decolonized lens with a focus on community-building and education.
Their core focus as an intern is community, empowerment, and education, with the mission to inspire others to do the same, creating an environment of mutual success and learning. As an English major, they emphasize the importance of literature, its influences on the greater zeitgeist, and the analytical lenses through which it is viewed.
Outside of college, they enjoy walks or bike rides around campus, trying new places to eat at, drawing, and writing.
