Position Title
Graduate Student Researcher for Student Success and Equity Innovation
Amy Do is a second-generation Vietnamese-Thai American, born and raised in San Jose, California. Her passion for student development and equity in higher education is rooted in her experiences as a first-generation college student. A recent UC Davis alumna, Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics. Throughout her time at UC Davis, she found support and a sense of belonging through the SAPIRI and the Southeast Asians Furthering Education (SAFE) community, which helped her navigate challenges like cultural stigma and imposter syndrome.
Currently pursuing her Master’s in Higher Education & Student Affairs at the University of San Francisco, Amy is dedicated to advocating for student success and well-being. As the Graduate Student Researcher, she is committed to amplifying the voices of Asian and Pacific Islander students, using research as a tool to highlight the community's strengths and contribute to initiatives that foster an inclusive and empowering campus environment.
A lifelong Peanuts & Snoopy fan, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, trying new foods, and is always up for a boba run. She looks forward to meeting and collaborating with students and staff, and contributing to the ongoing positive impact on student success.
