Bio
Francine Izabelle Olpoc (she/her) is a first-generation, low-income Filipino American born to Filipino immigrants. She was raised in Los Angeles, CA, where she developed an interest in community involvement and development, encompassing aspects of identity such as culture, entertainment, leadership, education, socioeconomic status, and healthcare. As a 5th-year non-traditional student majoring in Human Development, she has continued to stay resilient in completing her undergraduate education while giving back to the communities that have led her to her current path.

As one of the three Community Organizers at the Lotus Mana Center, Francine continues to foster and promote the mission of the Asian and Pacific Islander Retention Initiative by creating endearing and heartwarming connections through events that highlight the importance of a supportive community in a culturally sensitive manner. Her dedication and compassion for providing resources and support to communities are ever-growing qualities she hopes to bring to the team and the UC Davis community.

Francine will pursue an education in nursing following her undergraduate studies, continuing her passion for supporting and engaging with communities. As a lifelong learner, Francine enjoys learning more about the world, its people, and the various activities that bring joy to others. Typically, you can find her with her chosen family, enjoying good food, creating artsy projects, spending time with her cat child, and locking in with school/work. She is the happiest in the presence of genuine connections, ice cream, music, and a healthy, positive space.
